Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026
This policy explains how RenewFlow uses cookies and similar technologies. In short: we use only the strictly necessary storage needed to run the service and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Related technologies — such as your browser's local storage — let a site or app remember information between page loads. Some are essential to make a service work; others (analytics, advertising) are optional and require your consent.
2. What RenewFlow uses
RenewFlow uses only strictly necessary storage:
- Authentication / session — when you sign in, we store your session token in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in and your requests are authenticated. Signing out or clearing your browser storage removes it.
- Essential app state — small items such as your light/dark theme preference and, for engineers, an offline cache that lets the mobile app work without signal. These exist only to make the product function.
We do not use Google Analytics or other analytics cookies, advertising or marketing cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind on RenewFlow.
3. Third-party services
When you proceed to pay, checkout is handled on Stripe's own secure, hosted pages (on Stripe's domain, not ours). Stripe sets its own cookies there to process payments securely and prevent fraud; that processing is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Our website and application themselves do not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts.
4. Managing storage
Because we only use strictly necessary storage, there is nothing optional to switch off on RenewFlow. You can still clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time — note that doing so will sign you out of the application. Most browsers also let you block storage entirely, though the application requires session storage to function.
5. Consent
Under UK PECR and the UK GDPR, consent is required before setting non-essential cookies. Because RenewFlow sets only strictly necessary storage, no consent banner is required. If we ever introduce optional analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do.
